Chemical properties

Quartz fiber chemical stability applications: filter media for experimental analysis, filtration of hot acid gas, reinforcement of acid-resistant composites (if broken, the fiber is not corroded by chemical media). In addition to hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid, quartz glass has good acid resistance to general acids. At room temperature, alkali and salt corrode the quartz glass very slightly.
